Been looking around here quite awhile now to no avail.....about ready to give it up........was adopted in Nov. 1963 in Jackson County, Kansas City Missouri, born October 13th 1963 according to my birth cert., but, a lot of info is missing..................
I'm 6'2" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, athletic built. Anybody recognize any of this? LMK at email in profile!
Can't seem to find any info........
Got a gift from an angel......
A private message which was able to find something within days that I hadn't been able to find since this began....
There apparently were only two adoptions on the day I was born in Jackson county.......my last name at birth was apparently either Gitterman or Dudley
Next question....what do I do with this?

I looked in the Kansas City phone records and there are only 3 listings for Gitterman and only 2 listings for Dudley that could be around the age of your birthmother. I found my birthfather by just calling the numbers I found in the phonebook. You never know, sometimes you get lucky. Good luck.
My questions are these - how do you know what adoptions were done on that particular day ( a list?) and why would an adoption take place upon a child's birthday? My (Kansas City, Mo) adoption was 9 months after my birth, and not finalized until I was over a year old. I think more research is in order? Do you have your non-ID info? With prodding, Rosalee will provide it.
If you still live in the Kansas City area, why don't you drop in on our Triad group - they are how I found my birth parents. We meet in Liberty the first Thursday evening of each month, Independence the second Thursday, and Overland Park the third Thursday. Also, the Mid Continent Genealogy Library on Lees Summit Road in Independence is a gorgeous new facility, with microfilm, Polk directories going back to WW1, and the largest collection of genealogy materials in the Midwest.
