Adopting from Arizona? ICPC?

Hi,

We were just contacted by a young woman in AZ and she's due in mid JAN! We have an agency here in IL but they aren't very helpful. We don't have an attorney as we were not expecting to adopt so soon, but I'll be calling one today that I've spoken to before here in IL.

Has anyone adopted from AZ? I'm so fearful that our iCPC clearance won't go through fast and we'll end up living there with our five year old son for a long time. ANyone adopt from there?

We adopted from AZ in 2003. We were there ten days total, including the day he was born and an additional 72 hours before the birthmom could sign the paperwork, plus a weekend. So the ICPC itself was pretty quick (NJ was the other state involved). I have a friend who also adopted from AZ and she was there about 10 days too (also from NJ).
