I believe that I have found my birthmother's SSN, and I was wondering if anyone knows of an "easy" way to get her name or other identifying information from that. I know I could hire a detective, but I am a senior in college and just don't have the money. There are several online sites that claim they could find records for me if they know an SSN, but I really don't want to waste money on a scam.
I don't know any other identifying information about her--just that at some point she was living in Georgia.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do without spending any/ a lot of money?
Thanks!
Go to peoplefinder
or is it peoplefinders???
and do a search under SS#. It will give you the name and address of the person.
Cool, huh>

I checked, it's peoplefinders.
Click on the last tab for search by SS# number.
Let me know if you find something out with this!

Kim,
I don't think that this is a free service. At least when I tried it with my ss# it wasn't.
I'm a birthmom that is searching for my daughter, and in doing so i came across an awesome website/registry that had links to other helpful sites - one being a Private Investigation site where you could find info on virtually anybody for free! If you want to know it email me at rebalou@gmail.com because i'm not sure if i can share on this site... does anybody know if we can share other found websites? Becky
You can share other websites as long as they are not retail, private groups, or they are not family friendly. :flowergift:
I want to know the site you are talking about if it a PI site that is completely free. :D
