A brief history: On November 14, 1970, seventy-five Marshall Thundering Herd football players, coaches, boosters, members of the media, and flight crew died when their plane crashed on approach at Tri-State Airport in West Virginia. This story is now a movie called We Are Marshall.
The movie obviously could not tell each individual story, but one of the players was a birth father. His birth daughter shared her story with the media.
