Hi there!
I thought I'd start a thread for birthmothers to connect locally. Today I live in this fabulous city and grew up in the burbs. I have an open adoption with my son who I placed through an Illinois private agency. My experience has been a defining one in my life through which I have been greatly blessed by the resulting relationships. I'd love to hear from local birthmothers and your stories! I hope through this forum we can find new ways to connect. :)
I am living in Chicago going to school here.
I have a semi-open adoption through letters/pictures sent via agency but now we are doing emails, so taking a step up!
She is a year and a half and I have no idea where the time is flying too.

I sure wish I did an open adoption with my daughter. I gave her up 16 years ago and I was only 19 and in a bad situation/relationship. I know i did the best thing for her but i am now starting to wonder how she is. Is she healthy,smart,etc... I found the adoptive parents 16 years ago through my ex-boyfriends sister and Im now just trying to reach them and just see if someone can tell me if she is ok. I did have all the adoption paperwork, adoptives names,attorney,etc.. but when I left my ex, he threw everything away : (
