Hello! My name is Kellie and I am a senior at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I will graduate in May with a B.A. in Asian Studies and International Business. It has always been my dream to adopt internationally, and hopefully someday open up my own facility.
I am conducting my senior thesis on Asian International adoption, specifically focusing on China, Korea, Cambodia, and Vietnam. I have a few questions I have prepared and would love for any of you to answer some or all of them for me to incorporate into my research paper. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to reading your repsonses. :flowergift:
Kellie
1.) Why did you choose international adoption over domestic adoption?
2.) Which agency did you choose?
3.) Why did you choose this particular country for adoption?
4.) How long did your adoption process take?
5.) Were there any specific hurdles you had to overcome during the adoption process?
6.) Were there any specific hurdles you had to overcome once the adopted child was at home?
7.) Did you have any biological children prior to your adoption, and if so, how did you explain to them the arrival of their new sibling?
8.) Do you incorporate any ties from your adopted childs home country? i.e.) attend cultural festivals or prepare authentic foods at home?
9.) Do you believe your adopted child identifies with their home country? i.e.) if questioned, would they say they are ғKorean or ԓAmerican or both?
10.) Should I have further questions, would it be okay for me to contact you again?
