April 5 is a national public holiday, Tomb Sweep Day, here in Taiwan whereby people honor their ancestors by returning to their graves and cleaning them as a gesture of respect.
I might or might not decide to contact my birth siblings to see if they participate in any particular activities to honor our parents. I'm still having challenges dealing with my birth siblings.. Wish me luck in whatever it is that I decide to do regarding this emotionally-charged holiday.
Best of Luck, ripples.....:flowergift: These cultural holidays are hard for those of us that weren't raised to celebrate them. I find my loss is really pronounced during a cultural holiday - my reunion is new so I'm just starting to experience this. It does bring up sensitive feelings, so i hope you're doing OK.
I hope you are able to discern the right choice, what to do...and if you contact your siblings, that they are good to you. I am thinking of you and sending thoughts to you during this time. Hugs :grouphug:
