Did anybody watch Dateline tonight? 7pm NBC EST?
It had to do with one unethical woman posing as a birthmother who scammed several prospective adoptive parents out of their adoptions(in the end there wasnt an actual baby-she made that up too). In addition to scamming prospective adoptive parents, she scammed several husbands of hers, left them and they were left in debt.
I am sure that the mass-majority of birthmothers are actually on the up and up and have a viable baby available for adoption, but I just want to mention that I watched this program and that prospective adoptive parents should use a reputable adoption agency/atty. to be careful that things are moving like they should. The Dateline website has tips that prospective adoptive parents should look at who are considering adopting domestically.
Thanks,

Here is the website from Dateline NBC that gives advice to prospective adoptive parents(domestically) on how to minimize their chances of being involved in an adoption scam. I think it's worth a read.
