Well, first off let me apologize for not posting on here much. Life has definitely been :eek::eek: lately! We are still up in the air about the sibs adoption. We filed in Feb and were supposed to have a hearing in April. That was continued to May. Well, we have as of right now a hearing on May 2nd and May 23rd. Both are most likely going to get scrapped as bdad's lawyer is trying again to get them continued. Dragging this out is NOT whats best for these kids. Bdad's family that we have contact with has tried to get him to sign over his rights...they don't think the kids should be sent to Mexico. Bdad is mad at them b/c they aren't helping him. Apparently he still has lots of anger issues...but can we prove it?! Well we are trying to prove him to be unfit. Its likely we won't get this heard till June or July. Very frustrating believe me!!!! The kids know a little bit about whats going on...they are constantly asking if the judge has decided if they can live w/ us or not. They DO NOT want to live w/ their bdad. Their Guardian Ad Litem is not interested in what they have to say...they are too young, don't remember bdad, he is a good guy caught up in a bad situation, blah blah blah. I've given up trying to get her on our side. DCS is still pursuing termination, but we aren't sure they really have a strong enough case. Its possible bdad will get the kids back on legal technicalities. We are also preparing for our baby to be reunified w/ bmom in May. He'll be just a few days shy of 10 months and we've had him since 3 days old. :( Its not a HORRIBLE situation for him to go to, but my heart is still breaking. We love him as our own! On a happier note, our other foster daughter will hopefully be TPR'd soon. They are going to file in May. Not sure how long they will drag it out...bmom has not been heard from but once the entire 9.5 months she's been in care. We may have her adoption done looooooooong before the sibs adoption. Just wanted to let you all know how things were going! Excited to hear your updates and matches!

Lakin - I can't believe that they haven't settled this yet! I'd be fuming!!!! It just seems so awful that the future of the children is still undecided - they need permanancy. :( We'll be thinking about you. Maybe the judge will buy a clue  Glad to hear that things are going a little more smoothly with your little girl. I'm sorry your baby is leaving you - feel free to vent/worry/be sad. Mommyto9 - what ages of kids are you waiting for? Glad the adoption of your boys is going well. As for us, we applied for a sib group of 4 at the last adoption day we went to. They're younger than we were originally looking for, but we're big on keeping options open. Our worker actually called us to find out if we are interested in being considered for a sib group of 2 in our area. Neither sib group is TPR yet, so we'll have to wait to see if that happens, and then see whether we get chosen. Dawn H.
