I honestly have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this, so please be as kind as possible. I'm 19 years old and have a 6 month old baby girl. I really would like to adopt a set of twins from birth. I know that's a lot to ask for, but I was pregnant with twins and lost one. I've always wanted twins and to adopt as well, and when I found out that I was having twins, I was exstatic. Then the bad news came and ever since, I really REALLY want twins. I know that because of my age, I will probably have a hard time, but I would like my daughter to be close in age to the children. I'm in the process of moving into my own home, but it's a 3 bedroom (I don't know if they need their own rooms, I wouldn't see why they would though). I'm going to school right now, but I work at a day care center and am a nanny, so I know all about children. I already have tons of baby items with duplicates (from my first pregnancy). Please someone help me, because I don't even know where to start.

Well twins are a rarity in adoption, but not impossible to be placed with....
First you need to start researching the pros and cons of each type of adoption and which type you are eligible for as a 19 y/o single mother and so you can decide what is best for your family. (i.e. do you want to do a domestic adoption, foster care adoption, foster to adopt, or international)
Right now, I don't know of many agencies that will allow to adopt until you are at least 21 and to do an international adoption as a single, INS requires that you be 25 y/o....some foster care or foster to adopt agencies may allow you to adopt depending on your state's polices...
I have wanted to adopt since I was 8, and I was overjoyed when I got old enough to adopt.....it is looking very likely that I will get to adopt 2 of my foster sons before the year is out (YAY!!!) I decided to go the "foster to adopt" route first, but I also plan to adopt internationally and I may do another adoption from foster care as well....
Good luck and if you need someone to chat with feel free to send me an email: ybunited@yahoo.com
