And it's not from me!
Nicholas has a stomach virus that's floating around the area (we were to the doctor today for confirmation) and, gah. We haven't seen real puke since his first puke when he had a reaction to the acid in peaches. This? THIS IS A SMELLY ICKY MESS!
It's my fault though. I was thinking about puke the other day and how it will be interesting (pfft) when he pukes on the floor or something while running to the bathroom when we move him to his big boy bed. So, of course, he showed me that it can be interesting in his crib as well.
Sheets and everything are cleaned. We've sanitized everything with Lysol and Clorox wipes. But... the smell! And we've sprayed Oust. And the window is open with fresh rainy smell coming in. And the fan is on. BUT THE SMELL.
I know I'm uber-sensitive to smells right now but Josh agrees that it's lingering.
WHAT do we DO!???!!!
Open the windows and turn on some fans, let it all air out. That's the only thing I can recommend.

I'm sure you've checked, but I feel for you - could any have gotten on the carpet? Make JOSH get down on his hands and knees and do a sniff test all around the crib and see if there's a spot you can't make him scrub with Oxy Clean and then Oust it all out.....
I am SOOO sorry. I am not looking forward to the first vomit since we've been on milk and solid foods..... Cannot be a good thing.
PLEEEEASE get well very very soon, Nick - and DON"T give our germs to Mommy!!!
Try sprinkling some baking soda on the carpet in the room and letting it sit for a while to absorb the odor, then vacuum it up. You can also put out a shallow dish of white vinegar (though my guess is that wouldn't smell much better to you right now!) If he got anything on the crib bars, you can try wiping them down w/ a vinegar water solution.
This will sound crazy but baby wipes. They work wonders I would rub them into the area that he puked on, they do wonders at smells. Then I would use Febreze like it was going out of style.

One thing that works great and is all natural and safe around children and pets is Simple Solution Stain and Odor Remover...you can get it at any pet supply store. Hope it helps and hope Nicholas is ok!! {{{Hugs}}}

If everything is cleaned up, including the carpet, I would heat some water on the stove with some cloves, orange rinds, lemon rinds or even drops of vanilla. Let that simmer for a couple of hours.
I second the baking soda vacuum on the carpet too.
I have found the best way to remove vomit odors is to sprinkle baking soda on the place on the carpet then pour a bit of white vinger over it ,,, it foams up and then you can wipe away ..... works wonders.. :o)
