You've already taken a huge step in dedciding on international adoption. The next step is to decide on which country and then see if you can find folks in your area that adopted from the same country. Once you decide on an agency they will have families you can connect with. My husband and I had decided on Russia and then actually adopted (2) from Ukraine (so even after you think you have it figured out you may change direction). HOW DOES ONE CHOOSE AN AGENCY? ?????? My first Adoption book had a listing of agencies in it and I sent out/phoned for information on about 20. Then we attended a couple seminars (we were lucky to be living in a big city where several local and non local agencies would put on an occasional Saturday afternoon seminar). We finally decided we would feel better utilizing a local agency. We applied to them Sept. 1999 and Finalized our adoptions on Feb 7, 2000.Good Luck to you. Most of us understand your bewilderment.
