Woo hoo!
M will be here on Tuesday. I am really really getting excited about the visit (more and more and more excited as each day passes!)
I still have to go to the grocery store - but other than that, I am ready! We've got a lot of stuff planned - including a day at "Slide Rock" and then a day or two at the Grand Canyon.
Anyway, I'll keep my blog updated during the visit - but I don't think I will check in much here (I mean, this *is* work!)

Awww - Ya, I am really excited! I've got a hand full of things to do today - but otherwise, I am in good shape.
I think I might work a half day today - so I can get some down time before the big day. Tomorrow morning, I have to take Jerrett to get his braces taken off, so I won't have any 'me' time before she gets here.
*sigh*
I can't believe she'll be here in 29 hours!

Well, I made it back.
Things did not go as well as I had hoped, however I got to spend a lot of alone time with my daughter and we had a great time shopping, talking and watching movies/hanging out.
I have had a few PM's from members asking me how it went - so I wanted to follow up.
This visit really did NEED to happen...and I am so thankful it did.

I'm sorry things didn't go exactly how you had hoped. IN what ways was it different? What kinds of things concerned you?
I'm so glad you were able to help arrange the visit. Hopefully it helped your bdaughter re-connect with you and her family.
I'd suspect that your headed into some pretty difficult years ahead as she continues to go through her teen years. I'd love to hear as much as your willing to share on how things went. I know many of us will soon have pre-teens on our hands as well....and any insight would be helpful....since for many of us this is uncharted territory.
Do you have plans to get together again sometime soon or do you just play it by ear?
I'm sure it was so nice to see her again and spend some time with her.

I've shared my personal OA Blog with those who've asked for it and that I feel comfortable sharing it with. I've gone in depth there, where I am safe from being told how awful I am and how much damage I am doing.

I didn't 'help arrange the visit' I arranged it, booked the tickets and provided all of the accomodations. Yes, it did help us reconnect and it was wonderful.

She is coming back in a few weeks.

I am really sorry things didn't go as well as you hoped. Hopefully next visit will be better. I can't imagine how difficult it is sometimes to have to wait for that special visit to come around and then not be quite what you expected. I'm sure it will be different each time but just as special for you.
