From my contact in Bulgaria:
The news in Bulgaria are very good. We confirm that the great news is that we have a new minister of justice and her name is Miglena Tacheva. Some people say that in her childhood she has spent some time at an orphanage in her home town because her parents were very poor. I do not know whether this is true or not but I know for sure that she is a great professional first of all, she knows quite a lot about the international adoptions, there are signs already that she is mad at what Ganev and Kalauzka have established as practices in that sphere and besides, her official position is that the children in the orphanages should not become more, but less... Furthermore, she already said in an interview that one of the very first steps she will do as a minister is to solve the problems that made the international
adoptions in Bulgaria good ground for scandals.
We expect very radical changes in the MoJ politics regarding the international adoptions.
Keep praying!

Very exciting! I've been watching the climate for Bulgarian adoptions closely. Praying for the tide to turn.
