Happy Friday, Everyone!! Haven't really had a chance to be around much lately. Thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing. I'm pretty good. Just two months into the waiting and I'm not completely losing my mind. Work is busy and school is keeping me busy.

Happy Friday! I'm hoping for a quiet weekend (yeah, right!). Anyway, I survived the back to back weddings of my 2 oldest sons and a vacation with my in-laws. We are still waiting on our referral and are trying to be patient (retail therapy helps:evilgrin:). I hope everyone else is hanging in there. Lucinda:flowergift:

Glad to hear you guys are doing well. We are putting Christa's room together this weekend and I'm finishing my son's lifebook finally. Well at least the part of his journey home. Oh did I mention I have lots of grading to do. I much rather go with Lucinda for retail therapy. :) Speaking of grading, Teri how is school going? Cathleen

We are pretty good. Our little guy starts his "soccer clinic" tomorrow and my hubby has been assigned as assistant coach. I am so excited to see my two guys running out on to the field together!! A little sad that my MIL moved back home to PA today. I will really miss her. And, of course, I am very eager to be done with our paperwork. Our HS update is on Wednesday as are our DR appointments. Now just have to wait for our 171.

We are enjoying the beautiful fall colors here in MI. The air has a crisp feeling to it and the skys are clear. As you can tell, this is my favorite time of year (not too hot, not too cold). Sunday we are going to a Moon Festival with our local China family group. It should be a lot of fun.
I am getting my last round of shots and building a large stone wall out of river and field stone. My wife just repainted our breakfast nook a rather nice green and we will be ripping down trim and patching/priming the first of the rooms we will be renovating this winter. My first bee hives have arrived and I will begin breaking ground on my farm's new apiary sometime between now and October 31. Woot! And they started reclaiming part of my farm property that we had sold gravel out of to allow us to farm it again...converting it to a 100% organic produce and chicken facility...with the apiary.Autumn Harvest Festivals will begin to rock a couple years from now.Edit: I will say, lack of rain here (we are almost 16" under our average rainfall) is almost as maddening as the wait. Its Sept 24 and they are predicting 94F. I have not received a real rain since July...and since then we have had over 40 days of 90F or higher weather, of which 5 were 100 or higher.

On this side of the atlantic everything is fine... other than our I171h is supposed to be ready but there is a postal strike and NOTHING is going to be delivered or posted until the stike is over. I really hope it ends soon, we are so impatient.
This weekend, I secretly caught my husband smiling & cooing at a little Asian babies in the supermarket. It's the first time I actually saw him being excited about the adoption. He kept asking if I thought our son would be as cute as this one or that one. It was really cute.
Granted he says he's excited but this is the first time I've seen it outside the home.
So that was our weekend. Other than that, the weather sucks. It would be nice to get some sunshine from time to time.
