Has anyone sent their I600A in before their homestudy was completed? I thought I read somewhere that it speed up the process if you do that. Has anyone done this?
Thanks!
Yes, you can do this, just include a note that your home study will be sent when completed. I do a lot of dossiers, in most places it does speed up the process.
Good luck!

My understanding is that some USCIS offices allow the practice, but that others do not. And some of the offices that allow the practice appear to just let the I-600 sit in a drawer until the homestudy arrives; no work is done, so the process is not faster in these offices.
Check with your homestudy agency, or with people in your area who have recently adopted internationally, to see what your local USCIS office does. While you are at it, ask how long the office generally takes to process the I-600A. Some offices are much slower than others, regardless of whether you send the homestudy with the application.
