My name is Dana Vinson. My madin name is Hanson. I gav birth to a baby boy in July 25th, 1983. in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. I went to an Unwed Mothers home in Kansas,OK...Cookson Hills Christian Misistries. My problem i have now is that Ok and AK. are closed record states. These are my last options. Dana, a good thing you can do is leave a paper trail so if and when your bson decides to search for you, you can be "findable". You can contact the agency and the court where the adoption was finalized and ask to have a "consent to contact" letter by you placed in each file, that way if he contacts those places looking for search information, then your letter will allow them to give him your contact information. Was the adoption finalized in OK or Ark?

The adoption toook place in Ark. See I called and let the agency know that i was looking and thy said they would put it in his file but the funny thing is they said they have NOT one thing on my son. just that the birth took place.

Dana, an agency won't disclose any information about your bson. And don't let them just note that you came asking about him in his file, send them a letter with your contact information and call to confirm they received it and placed it into his file.
