The Department of Social Services does adoptions virtually for free. I think you pay about $75 to get the child a new birth certificate after the adoption, and $5 for the fingerprints for your background check, and that is it.
stop! no Social Services Agency is "doing" adoptions. They need Foster parents and sometimes the foster parents are able to adopt if the child/children are freed for adoption. But, it is not an "adoption as usual".
