While National Adoption Awareness month does focus on the foster care adoption aspect of things, there are opportunities to discuss and educate on all aspects of adoption. Its not just about finding families for children, but helping our fellow parents from all sides find the support they need. ItҒs about supporting those adopted through their challenges and learning from their experiences. From Guatemala to Russia to China to a sleepy little town in Idahowe all have experiences to share. From infant to older child, transracial to special needs, all of our differences of the process still bring us all together. From our past to our present, adoption has changed so much and yet there are areas where it hasnŒt. We hear from our mothers in exile who found their voices and take the time to share a different side. From closed to semi, to fully open, each side has a voice. To support a persons right to have their basic medical information, to know the aspects of their past and the adopteeҒs bill of rights, its not a ғthem but all our children. So todayԅtake some time to read the different forums we at Adoption.Com provide. Take a moment to step outside the world you live in to hear another side. Theres joy, pain, support, laughter and struggles on all sides. There are voices everywhere...what do you hear?

I personally love to go and read on the Special Needs forums as I learn so much, and besides, they're just awesome! ;)I also enjoy visiting the forum for Adoption.com - Information on International, Domestic, Child & Agency Adoptions, Stories, Laws - and for adult adoptees. I have really learned a lot from all sides of the triad!
