I don't have much to go on, as I don't have the heart to ask my mother any questions about it...it gets her very emotional. All I was ever told was that my birth parents were very young and that my adoption was arranged before I was born. I don't know how much of that I should believe, as it is a nice story and all.
My BC (which is harder to obtain then most, I have to have a copy from Sacramento mailed to me, while anyone else can just pick their copy up with no delay) states that my birth date was 6/7/1977 and the names of my parents are indeed the names of the people that raised me.
My other family members slipped up and let me on to the fact that I was adopted when I was a teen, never had the urge to find them until recently.
If anyone could help with any information or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you send me a private message (PM) with the county you were born in and your date of birth, I can run a search of the California Birth Index. I only have access to the online database, not the microfiche, so the information I can access will be limited to your birth mother's maiden name and your birth father's surname. If the last names aren't super common, I sometimes can find other records in the California Marriage Index and California Divorce Index. If that happens, then I can do a public record search for current address.
