How Many of you ran out to shop the day after Thanksgiving just to find that great deal? Or are you already done with your shopping for the holiday season? My sister is usually done by August....silly girl....lol I like to wait until the month of December and it puts me into the spirit of the holidays(I like to add snow to it too).

Lol. I would love to be done as of August. :) No such luck. I learned a time ago that it is not worth fighting the crowds the day after Thanksgiving. Seems as though I was still in the state of giving thanks and to see people out being so rude and careless was too much. Just want to keep the thankfullness mood a little longer. :)

I am sitting here raising my hand. Yes, I was one of the crazy people at Walmart at 5:00 am... then Target, then Kohl's, and back home by 10:00 am (after stopping off at mil's to drop off all the gifts for the kids - could hardly walk into the house with all the stuff on Friday).
But, it was worth it. I definately saved more than I spent. At Walmart I bought $5 pajamas and such. At Target I bought an mp3 player at 50% off and some folding floor rockers at and even bigger discount. At Kohl's everything I bought was 60% off, plus I had another coupon for an additional 15%.
I am pretty much done with my kids now, except for some stocking stuffers and waiting for High School Musical 2 and the new Cinderella movie to come out.
Still have my 2 nephews, 16 yr old niece, 4 yr old great-niece and 6 m old great nephew to shop for, but that is not so bad. I used to shop for more nieces and nephews, but at 18 they "age out" of auntie's gift list!

I have yet to even think about shopping for Christmas. I guess I need to start thinking about it and get a list together. My mistake if I shop to early I end up buying more than what is on my list. So I now wait until later. Dh loves to shop his favorite internet sites so he does most of the big purchases. Makes it easier to ship if it is going out of state. I take on the stocking stuffers. Anyone have any great ideas for stockings? My 7 year old loves pencils and any kind of unique earsers. My 3 year old would be happy with lots of candy....especially chocolate. Stay safe and warm (for those of you in cold states) during your shopping days.
Every year my Mom, aunts, several cousins and I are out the door at 5 a.m. on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Normally most of my shopping is done that day. This year though wasn't that great. I got my Mom done and DH's two sisters and one of his brothers but that was about it. It seemed like everywhere I went they were already out of what I wanted or what I wanted wasn't on sale. Ah well, better luck next year.

I finished my two boys, my niece, and my 2 Godchildren, but nothing for the adults. Both my boys bdays are in December and today they had their "friend" party, so I figured now that the party is behind us, I can move full speed ahead towards Christmas shopping haha.
The bad thing is, I don't even KNOW what I am going to buy everyone, and usually by now I have some idea.
Dragonfly: I sound like I'm doing better than I'm actually doing, believe me. I've got two brothers with girlfriends who'll be with us on Christmas. Plus my parents and two grandmothers. Then DH has two grandmas and a grandpa, two sets of parents, four siblings (two with spouses), and we have two nephews and a niece. We also draw names for DH's big family thing. And of course we participate in the Christmas Family donations at work and hat and mitten trees at work and church. Oh yeah, we also buy for each other and Eve. See what I mean? We're taking next Tuesday off to do our Christmas shopping together with my cousin and her fiance because I can't just run to the store after work anymore. I've got a feeding schedule to worry about and entertaining an eight month old isn't easy. Neither is lugging around all that stuff that an eight month old needs, come to think of it.

And that shopping cart seat cover thingy. I love it because Eve seems to think that everything is edible right now but man, I feel like I'm taking half the house with me every time I leave. Still, it's fun to see her looking around and checking everything out now that she's in a big girl car seat.
