Goodwill and reflection, family and friends. Although, personally, it's a time for spirituality for me, I think for some the spirituality comes in "goodwill" to others.
As for "presents", I think it's time to cut the Christmas garbage we are forced to watch about how we need to buy our mates a "Lexus" or diamonds for Christmas. Commercialism that too many fall for. It's way out of hand!!!

The commercialism is changing now from what to buy others into treating yourself, too. I get so sick of hearing "treat yourself this Holiday Season..." and also, "Give what they REALLY want, a gift card to..."
GRRRR!!!!
