What are your wishes/hopes for your child this coming year?
My wish for T is to remain happy and healthy. For him to continue to enjoy Irish dancing. I wish for him to continue to do well in school. I hope he will know even more this year how much we love him.

My wishes for Supergirl are:
to continue to be happy
healthy
smart
sassy (in a good way)
& to not be affected after our visits.
Leigh - I think you should change the last one to
"to be positively affected by our visits"
:)
Just happy and healthy for my girl, that's all I could want for her at this point.
Of course, there are a ton of things I want for us, like successful visits and for us to have a growing relationship, but she's just a little cupcake still so I'll hold off on the wild hopes and dreams for her...maybe next year :)

That's what I meant. Maybe I should have been paying attention to my typing and not my Grams talking ;)
Thanks

I don't want to talk about 2008. WHY? The Munchkin will turn FIVE at the end of this year and, a) that makes me feel REALLY OLD and, b) OMG SHE IS SO OLD! :(
That said, I hope she continues to have fun in school this year, as well as karate and dance. I hope we get to bond some more. And I hope she continues to be her most awesome self. Her personality is fabulous! FABULOUS!
I know Jenna! My DD will have her Sweet 16 in 08! What!?!?!??
My wishes for my DD is that she continues to be happy and healthy in 2008, that she continues to excel in school and sports, that she has an AMAZING party for her b-day :) and that she (OMG!) passes her road test!!!
And a selfish wish? That the curiosity bug bites her in the behind again. But that is purely selfish on my part ;)
OK, so I knew that M would turn 18 this year, But Jenna and Carrie you just made me "see" it, OMG, 18......this brings on new wishes for him.*sigh*

That she is healthly and happy and that she does well in work or in school (whatever she decides to do this year) and that she puts some new photos on her myspace page....pleeeeze update your profile.....
... she doesn't have to get tubes, she gets that birthmark removed with no complications, that she stays as happy and sweet as she has been these first eight months, that her parents fall more in love with her every day, that she makes a royal mess of her first birthday cake, that she'll be hard to keep up with once she learns to walk, that she smiles and laughs every day.
Those are my wishes for our sweet, sweet girl.

My son is now 37. We have been in reunion for 17 years. It is my wish, as always, that he will overcome his unfortunate upbringing and leave the religious cult.
