Our son is almost 2 1/2 and has been regularly going pee pee in the potty for about a month or so. He doesn't poo poo in the potty though. When does this come? Also, he doesn't tell us that he needs to use the potty, we just take him and he goes. How many times do you take your toddler to the bathroom during the day?
Just curious
thanks!!!! Jenna

My son could pee in the toilet when he turned two. Did NOT poop in the potty until he was 3.5.
We took him to pee every hour at first. After about 2 weeks of that we would just ask him every now and then if he needed to go. About two weeks after that he would go in on his own or tell us he needed to go.
The poop thing was a giant power struggle in our house, so I really have no advice there. I'm not real proud of how we finally got it done, but at least it's done.

my son was left in wet diapers that had soaked through to his clothes almost every day and now that he is potty training he does not find anythhing wrong with peeing his pants because he is used to being wet. How do I stop this we also have a power struggle with his pottying. He will pee himself and then when I make him take his wet pants and undies off (he will sit there forever wanting me to do it) and then put on clean ones he will just finish pulling clean ones up and I say "we go pee in the potty" he will spread his legs and wet right through his clean clothes and then refuse to take them off so he has to stay in the bathroom until he does. I would like to know how you get over this power struggle.
