((Kathy))) I know from your other posts that you're having a hard time with "mean people" right now, people just suck sometimes don't they! LOL!
Well I don't know if I can finish you exact sentence but I'll share a couple of "nice things" with you...
I think one of the nicest things people do for me is ask me to marry them...I am extremely touched when someone asks me to participate in one of the happiest days of their lives. I get excited when I review a ceremony with a couple and the bride is moved to tears with my words.
One of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me was to give me some very thoughtful gifts. When I had my first f2f with my daughter, just before Christmas, she gave me a large bag of gifts – for me, her 2 sisters and my husband. Each one was so incredibly thoughtful; she obviously put a lot of thought and care into selecting each of them. I was so touched that for 3 days all I could say about them was WOW, she is SO thoughtful! For instance – mine were a collection of movies on DVD by my favorite director (I just love Hitch!), it wasn’t that we spoke about movies often or even more than once – I just mentioned it in passing a year earlier and she had remembered! Just that she remember it was amazing to me! The other gift she gave me was one of those lotion/pamper sets with a note on it (that I still have) that said: “because you don’t make enough time for you!” So kind, so caring – that’s what made it one of the nicest things anyone’s done for me...not the gifts themselves but the caring and compassion behind them.
One more for you – one of the nicest things someone has done for me was to validate my feelings and to just let me know I’m not alone. At some of my lowest points I’ve been able to come here and get the support and understanding that lacking in my everyday life. To have someone say – you’re not alone, I understand how you’re feeling or I’ve been there too...to have someone take the time out of their lives, to step out of their own pain and feel mine...IMHO: it’s one of the nicest things someone’s done for me.

Ditto for me too.
