What did you give up for Lent?
For me is was soda. I don't drink a lot of it but when I want it I want it! And it has been harder than I thought it would be.
I gave up soda too so I feel your pain!
It does get easier though (I once gave it up and stayed off it for two years!)
But oh, when I want something specific it's hard!

DH and I gave up drinking alcohol like we do every year....It's been tough for some reason, this year....maybe b/c we have gone out to eat a lot lately!
For those giving up pop - you go get 'em! I've given up sweet and chocolate before, and now i eat less of them. I gave up impulse buying one year - really helped me save $$ since - maybe this will turn into a good h abit for you!
This year? I'm giving up some negative things, like "giving up" nagging hubby, snarking at him when I'm tired or stressed. Trying not to gossip at work or judge so much. I know I should be doing this more ALL the time, but I find Lent is a time that really helps me focus and make improvements.
Just trying to be a better example for my son.

I have given up wastefulness for Lent. This means that I am trying to be more aware of my use of natural resources (water, power) and also of my use of my time.
