Non-Identifying Info

Has anyone else received non-identifying information from GARR? I recently did and didn't get any medical information which was what I was really after. I did get a letter which told about my birthmother's "situation" and I guess why I was given up. I was just wondering if anyone else receive information like this. I was totally not expecting to find out intimate details that I did. I was just shocked by this.

I did that about 3 years ago and got basically the same thing. Just a little information here and there and because my birth mother had not filled out anything, so I really got no extra information.

Has anyone paid the $300 fee for the extra information?
