[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Hi everyone. My name is Bilye. My dh and I have been married for 9 + years and we have one dd who will be 7 this summer. We are very new to this process and could use any advice you have to give. We are open to almost any kind of adoption but are hoping to adopt a newborn- toddler. Ask your questions as there are many knowledgable people here. Do your homework to find the best adoption for your family as there are so many avenues.

Welcome to the forums. The best advice I can give is to look at the new posts. You will be surprised how much info you can read on another forum. There are so many people on here with real good advice. Ask away!

Thanks you guys for the welcome. I'm pretty overwhelmed by all there is to find out and all the different options out there. We just started this journey and have a very long way to go! I'm excited to have found this site so that I can learn some things, meet other couples going through this and hopefully at some point share the joy that we have found a little one to complete our family!

My suggestion is to read as many books as you can get your hands on. Also find someone in the community that has adopted that can give you pointers. That helped alot. I have two friends of friends that answer my questions still.
