Back on the Roller Coaster

Although I haven't posted on your threads in a while, I've been following your journey and struggles. My prayers are with you and your family.

Feel free to contact us any way you want. We went to mediation in Nov 07 and set all the guidelines letting the Bfather set those guidelines.We felt that as long as DD would remain with us he might as well tell us what he wanted and wanted to do. We did this until our next mediation which was in March of 08. He wanted to build a relationship with her and we absolutely have no problem with that. He wanted to call and talk to her (If she was willing) every Thursday before 8pm. We told him call any day of the week or any time unless she was in bed. Between Nov.- March he called one time and that was at 9:30 at night. Our attorney says just ride it out and let him show the courts that he has no interest. March he had many excuses and our next mediation is in July.The march one was on a Weds. and on Thurs the very next day NO CALL. We told him and mediation that he is damaging her because she is 9 yrs old and smart enough to know what no call means.She needs closure.We figure a couple more times of mediation and then we will take it to court down there and remove him from her life. He has every opportunity to be a part of her life and by his actions shows he is not interested but still wants to control the situation. Well he is messing around with a true parent and we will only stand by for so long before we take control so as to give this girl what she wants. Your support and encouragement mean so much to me. All the work I have done for the last three years - all bringing me to a particular point - seems to have vanished like a dream. Everything was legal, in order, planned, and ready to be executed - only to find out now that it may be impossible. Don't get me wrong - I will NEVER give up. It just looks right now like there is absolutely no hope for closure. The LAWS say there is - the reality is that everything is falling through. Do I dare hire yet another lawyer? I have been jerked around by 5 (FIVE!) so far. And my lawyer who was going to finally "fix" all this has pulled out. Is this really the country where we have a constitution and laws? How can this be?
