I turn 40 on April 19. Wow. Who here found it easy, just another birthday? Who really struggled with the big 4-0?Life won't change much I am certain... but it's been a big deadline for me and really, I "think" I'm looking forward to it, but... well it's inevitable anyway so... Let the countdown begin... 20 days!! Here we go!

Hey!!!! It's a party now!!!!     I am really looking forward to it in most ways. It is a big milestone for me, especially in regards the the "family growing" time of our life. My 30's have been spent just doing that... and I'm looking forward to settling down again (we're in the process of renovating our entire house to sell, and then moving sometime before Summer) and getting into some routines and finding a job that fits well with raising a family, and all that. I don't feel old, thanks to a 4yo and nearly 2yo. (and shhh...don't tell anyone, but we're "considering" another as soone as we get settled, foster-adopt this time) :cheer: I lost lots of weight a few years ago and it changed how I felt too (although I need to RElose about 20 of it again... sigh...) So we're in a good place. I don't know. It's just such a milestone, always had been a deadline of sorts and I'm trying not to make it that big of a deal. But it still is, you know? I'm looking forward to the second half (plus, I hope!) of my life and just want to celebrate being alive. Thanks for counting down with me! 15 days!!!!
Absolutely loved turning 40, it's the nearing 50's that makes one think about leaving the 40's so soon :0 .. It is a blast to be able to share life with someonoe so precious as our children and grandchildren at such an age, when age really doesn't matter. It's that Life is good and how we embrace it that makes all the differenc in our age... So farewell 40's and come on 50's...
Happy Birthday on the 19th blessedbybug~~~
Well happy early birthday! My mom's 54, and when she turned 50 she took it gracefully and said she was happy to have experienced half a century and all the things she'd learned in that time made her wise, but old? You're only as old as you feel.... Which, sadly for me, makes me about 86 rather than 25, heh.
40 was great for me... I was pregnant!
50 was great too, as we had just finalized the adpoption of our then 6 year old son.
I just keep my focus on where my life is, and the number doesn't mean a thing. Thanks to good genes, I look a lot younger than I am, and I am "young minded". My close friends range in age from 30 to 51, and when we are together age is definately not an issue... expect that Nancy (the 51 yr old) and I know more about everything!
