After lurking for many months, you guys, the wonderful people on the Polish adoption thread, are the first that I actually spoke with, and I wanted to say thank you! :) It has been months now since I stopped by...things have been crazy between dossier preparation and everything else (you know the drill :)).
After the assistance and advice you had all given me through countless pms and threads here on this board, my husband and I decided that our best choice was still Russian adoption, so despite the accreditation issues that were occuring at that time, we forged ahead and it was the best decision we ever made!
Last week we received a referral for our little boy - he is 17 months old. We are also adopting an 8-month old little girl, who we will receive a referral for on May 13. We are slated to leave JFK for our first trip on May 16 to meet the children.
Anyhow, I truly wanted to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. You are the first people I met on this site and will forever hold a special place for the kindess you extended me. I hope all is well and your happiness continues long into the future. Best of luck to those of you still on your journey. May God Bless all of you, today, and always.
Warmest Regards,
Jessi

Kama ~ I'm so happy to hear that things are so great for you. That's wonderful! I'm also certain that a tough first year is perfectly normal. I'm sure the adjustment is a challenge for the children, parenting is all new and a challenge to us, and then add to it the unique "obstacles" to work toward overcoming that parents who have their children from day one do not experience. In the end, I truly believe, like you, that every single second of it all will be worth it. I'm very happy for you.
Have a great weekend, everyone! :)
