Birth Mothers DOB: 09/01/1964 (21 F)
Her name could possibly be Yolanda.
ALL ABOUT KARMEN -
Karmen was born at 11:53AM on December 16, 1985 in a large suburban hospital (Henry General Hospital - Dr. Chen). She weighed 7 lbs 1/2 oz, was 19 inches long with an apgar of 8-10/ She was a full term, baby and was delivered vaginally without any complications for her birthmother or herself. Her blood type was A+ and serology and PKU were negative. Karmen was in an agency foster home for ten days and while there had an examination by the pediatrician with a second PKU and a finding of a "very healthy baby".
BIRTHPARENTS -
The birthmother was 21 years old with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion. She was 4 ft 9 in tall, weighed 90 lbs, and was a slender, healthy young woman. Her background was English-Italian. Her main interests were music and family life and she enjoyed caring for her 2 year old daughter. Her mother and older sister had the same coloring and similar height and weight. Her biological gather was 5 ft 5 in and weighted 145 lbs when he was younger. (She has not seen him in recent years). The birthmother, her mother, her sister, and her grandparents on both sides were living and in excellent health. There were no major illnesses or chronic health problems in any of her family.
The birthmother's husband denies paternity but the birthmother also denies any sexual relationship with anyone else. He is therefore described here. He was 22 years old. 5 ft 11 in tall and weighted 165 lbs. His hair was light brown, eyes blue and complexion fair. All of his family -- parents and siblings were of similar size and coloring. His background was German-English and I met his father who described the other family members. The birthfather's interest were sports and fishing and did well in his career in the Air Force. He, too, enjoyed caring for their daughter but in seeking the divorce was voluntarily giving custody to the birthmother.
FAMILY BACKGROUND -
The birthmother was reared by her mother and stepfather and had an holder sister and a younger stepbrother. Since her stepfather was in the Air Force she lived in many different places, but reports she has enjoyed moving about and feels close to her family. She met her husband when he and her stepfather were on the same Air Force base.
She did average work in school, but did not really enjoy learning and had no plans for further education. She had had occasional jobs in restaurants but looked to marriage and child rearing as her future. She was pleased to be an Air Force wife and liked the built-in social, health and family support services, a very familiar environment for her.
Her husband agrees he was married to the birthmother at conception and delivery and his name is on the original birth certificate. His background is small town Georgia with intact family and two younger siblings. His father is a city fireman and his mother primarily a homemaker with occasional work. He left school in the 11th grade to enter the Air Force and has done very well in this career achieving the rank of Sgt. His family has been very caring and supportive to the birthmother but do agree that divorce and adoption was necessary at the time.
