Wait time?

We were placed on our agency's waiting list in Oct. 07. The wait was estimated for a referral to be 7-9 months for a boy and 9-12 for a girl. In March, we were told that we may have a referral at 12 months. I'm thinking it will take longer. The new estimated time if placed on the list right now is 16-24 months for an infant. The court process is an additional 4-7 months. Karen

Thank you.My agency will be taking applications for girls starting in October 08. We are currently on a wait list for Colombia yet it appears to be at least a 3 year wait. I think if we move forward with Taiwan, that would be completed at least 1 year before our Colombian referral. Then we could have special time with our first.

The wait times are getting longer yes. They are up to around 2 years right now with MOST agencies. There is always the option of independent adopton in Taiwan also. Would you mind private messaging me who you are considering going with? Sarah k
