Hello,
We are researching Taiwan adoptions and I am trying to figure out what documents are needed for a Taiwan dossier. I can't find anything on line. I am waiting for several info packets from different agencies, but was wondering if someone could give me a run down of dossier components.
Thanks, and you can pm me if you like.

The agency we're using only sends out a informational packet at the beginning stage. After deciding to use them, we then received the homestudy guideline for our local social worker and a dossier checklist, instructions and forms. Our dossier checklist...agency applicationapplication requirementsadoption questionnaireautobiographytax returnsconsent for release of infomedical consideration formI-600Ahomestudy reportmedical letteremployment letterfinancial statementpolice clearance letterpower of attorney formsstate adoption law summarypassport photo pageorphanage application formapplication for adoption letterguardianship statementreference lettersphotographsCIS I-171H------You need to be careful and follow the directions on the forms or the agency will make you redo it again...which will require extra time. You can do a few things to be prepared before signing with an agency. Make sure you have passports, ask friends if they're willing to write a reference letter for you (in the future). Locate your tax returns for the past 3 years. Take pictures of your family and interior/exterior pictures of your home.
Exactly, I could e-mail the forms to you that I have, but they may not be what YOUR agency would want. The papers are usually the same, but the directions may change. Although, the one we used was one of the most in depth and favorable in Taiwan. If you go independent you don't need this stuff at all!!! The courts don't want it.. kicker huh? lol. What agency are you thinking of working with? Be careful when dealing with agencies. They will tell you "regulations or parent requirements that are not Taiwan or the orphanage requirements but they will represent them as such. If they don't have the answers you want, call another agency, the answers just may change.
