Hi everyone,
My agency did not get their Hague approval and I have to update my I-600A soon. For those of you who have done this already, did you just re-submit the I-600A application or do you write a letter?
Thank you!
Shonda
We are working on this too. :) Just had our fingerprints re-done, and we are meeting with our home study agency to update that next month.
I saved a press release from USCIS about what to send with the I-600A renewal request...if it's your first extension, you may want to read it because you can request one extension for free. Yahoo! Something for free! :D It also says to send in your updated home study with the new I-600A form.
Here's the release from last year in case you want to read it:

My caseworker told me I needed to write a letter to the USCIS requesting a new fingerprinting appointment. She said I did not have to re-do my home study until November? Is that normal to do them separately?
Popping in from the Guat board. :)
Fingerprints are good for 15 months and your 171H is good for 18 months. It sounds like maybe you are getting close to the 15 month mark and you need to work on getting your prints renewed, and then as you get closer to the 18 month mark they want you to work on the 171H renewal? Could that be it? You get one free extension of both as long as you put in the renewal request before they (either prints or 171H) expire.
