Sorry if this has come up before, I haven't seen any discussion on here about it.
As some of you probably know, some people prefer to give their child the three components of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine separately. My doctor is fine with it, and wrote me three separate prescriptions. My problem is that I am having trouble getting hold of the medications.
Many pharmacies I've called don't sell them separately, and one does, but the drug company will only send it to them each in boxes of 10 vials. My sister-in-law's pediatrician will order them but only can get them in boxes of 10 as well, so if she and I get the shots administered at that doctor's office, we'll need to find eight more parents who want the separate components as well. We're in a large metropolitan area filled with parents that probably have some of the same concerns, so you'd think that wouldn't be hard, but we're not sure how to do this.
Has anyone out there gotten the three MMR components separately? And if so, how? Someone please help me figure out how to get this done. Thanks very much for your time.

You may want to look into a parents group in your area. I belong to an Attachment parenting group and many of the members are anti-vax or prefer to delay or break up the vax as in your case.
This might sound crazy, but how about your local health food store, natural/organic food store or co-op? They may be linked with a parents group.
I have a friend who oldest daughter was dx autistic, she split up the vax and delayed some of the components for her other children.

You might try Mothering Dot Commune:MotheringDotCommune Forums - Powered by vBulletinThey have 3 vax forums as well as a "Finding Your Tribe" forum that is broken down by state/region. The topic of splitting the MMR comes up there all the time. We don't vax at all, so I can't help you with how to get the separate components.:hippie:
