Hi there. I am a birthmom who placed a baby up for adoption through the Gentle Shepherd Agency in Kansas. It wasn't an open adoption, however, the adoptive parents had agreed to send pictures and updates once a year. The baby (Rachel) was born in 1992 and I received this correspondence yearly until about 8 years ago. The correspondence stopped because the agency went out of business. Does anyone know where this information would go once an agency is no longer in business? I am hoping the adoptive parents continued to send the pics & info. I would love to see and hear how her life has been.
Thanks for any help you can give.
You should contact your state and find out if someone is still collecting that info.
Most likely they aren't...which is what's the pits about Semi-Closed adoption....agencies are business and business quit.
