Updates please

Hi, there. I'm new to this forum, hopping over from the Guatemala board. I recently brought home my youngest son in March, Cristian. He has a cleft lip~which is how I found this board..searching for support from folks dealing with their kids' impairments/disabilities. Anyway, summer is going alright. We're waiting for word from the Shriner's Cinci office to see if they can help us with his surgery. Talk about pins-n-needles!!! Other than that, not much going on... where is everyone else out there?!

Our little guy with CL/CP had his palate repair in June (his lip was repaired in China. He still has the obturator in place. He should get it off in a few weeks and then we'll see how successful the surgery was. We're cautiously optimistic for a complete closure on the first attempt.
