Just checking...
We sent our update to Colombia two weeks ago and are hoping it got translated speedily and then submitted, but are waiting to hear on that.
I was wondering how long it has been taking families to hear of their approval once they submit any updates to ICBF? We are requesting a sibling group.
Thanks...
Megan
Megan,
They requested more information from us also. I believe it was 5 weeks after that we got our approval letter but Easter was in those 5 weeks. So you should hear something soon.

Thanks, Donna!
I go through days where I am anxious about getting that approval and then have other days where I am completely at peace with whatever the length of the wait. I have begun doing mindless cleaning projects at home since I have run out of specific tasks to prepre for our adoption. I've read every book I can think of to prepare and now I'm working on getting ready for the school year, but even that is tough not knowing their ages.
My husband is getting tired of requests to take all the shelves out of the pantry and paint it and then replace everything (we did that last weekend!), gut out all the closets and reorganize (weekend before that!), and sort everything in the house and garage (this week!). The house is looking good, though!! :D
I think that once we have our ICBF approval I will breath a big sigh of relief, celebrate, and after a week or two, probably feel this same way again.
We did find out that our home study addendum was submitted to ICBF on July 15, so there will likely be a few more weeks of waiting before we hear back from ICBF. Any more advice on what to do to be prepared?
In the meantime I'm headed outside to sit next to the kiddie pool while the kiddos spash!
