Hi all - did anybody ever receive a "RFE" from USCIS regarding their I-171h petition? We submitted a home study update (once we heard of the match) since our older daughter is 2 yrs older than the age we'd listed on our original home study. Now, I just found out that our case is on hold pending our answering some RFE letter (request for evidence) which we haven't received yet (it takes forever to get mail out here in Poland). Just wondering if anybody has any idea what this could be about? We thought age updates are a pretty routine thing! Thanks!

While we were waiting, we received a letter indicating that our fingerprints were expiring. We also had to update our homestudy because that was too old. Our oldest daughter was five years older than our request, but we never had to, nor did we, update because of that. Is there a number you can call to find out what "evidence" is missing?

Thanks - we actually got them to fax the letter to our social worker and found out they were confused since the agency inadvertently used our original homestudy address on the age update addendum. We haven't moved at all since we submitted our addendum/new home study last spring and sent a new addendum stating as much - so hope it's all ok now. Odd you didn't have to update your homestudy - the Embassy said we'd need to do that do get the visas since that's what DHS requires. Ah well -- so long as it all works out in the end.
