Well it was a long road and I ended up having to fight DFS in order to get to keep him they informed me they would place him back with me BIL if he did his case plan and right now he is in jail for sodomey of a 5 yr old boy. So we went to court to get the guardianship and we will fight to adopt him as soon as we can.

Welcome!
We are in the St. Louis area and have 4 foster daughters. We have a sibling set of 3 that have been here for 10 months and will be here for at least another year and a 15 month old that has been here for 5 months and will be going home soon!
Luvie,
Hang in there! I am sure you won't have to wait too long!

:) Hello!
To me the waiting is by far the hardest part. The unknown just eats at you, especially when these are your babies. With mine, they bonded to us instantly because it was the first time they had someone that acted like a mom and dad should act. I cant imagine them having to go back. Our system is so broken. It has the parents best interests at heart, not the kids. Some of these parents are NOT fixable, and the kids should not have to be in limbo while they mess around and walk the streets with little consequence.
Irritating. I cant imagine knowing that you will have your kids another year, but not knowing anything else. It makes my stomach hurt for you - for me that would be utter torture!!!
I'm giong to have to install one of those instant messengers once my busy season at work dies down!!
