Colombia has won their second medal of the games -- a BRONZE in WRESTLING. A 22 year old female wrestler from Cali, Jackeline Renteria, won the bronze.Jackeline is from one of the poorest parts of Cali -- Lleras. Her parents live in a Comuna. A Comuna is a place where streets aren't paved and homes are often of cardboard, sheet metal, and adobe, and often there is no running water.Initially she wanted to learn Judo, but the cost of private lessons $7,000 ($3.50 US Dollars) pesos a month was too much for her family to afford. So, she was forced to pursue her dream through free community wrestling classes. Working her way up, without sponsors or financial help, until she won the national championship. She then moved into a special house for athletes from the Valle de Cauca. There she eats and sleeps so she can focus on her sport. She made it to the Olympics by winning Gold at the Pan-American games.Jackeline's Olympic dream is to buy her parents a real house.
