Attorney Wanting to Enter the Field of Adoption

I am an attorney in Massachusetts who has practiced in the fields of care and protection (abuse and neglect) and special education. I am also a prospective adoptive parent. I would like to make a shift in my career and work with an adoptive agency to help find forever homes for children.

Hi! Not before you!! Are you an attorney practicing in the field of adoption? And if so, as an attorney or a case worker? I am really considering alternatives.

Hi--I was an attorney, now I am staying at home with my son. I practiced in the area of environmental law but I would LOVE to get into adoption...in any way, really. I want to adopt someday but prior to adopting I would love to make my career in adoption, either as a caseworker or as an attorney (preferably as a caseworker). What about you? What type of law do you practice? Have you been able to make any connections in the adoption field?
