I just ordered a book called "Over the Moon" by Karen Katz for Anna. It's a children's book on international adoption, and I'm hoping to find more books similar to this one. Does anyone have any favorites that they would like to recommend? Thanks!
One book that we love is called "A Mother for Choco" and it is so sweet...I cry every time! Other ones I like Global Babies (board book), Happy Adoption Day, and The Skin You Live In (about all different skin colors). Ohh, and "The Color of Us" is good too!
I know there are more too that I am not thinking of right now....

I agree about Mother for Choco. It breaks your heart every time! It is such a gentle, subtle story about adoption. we also like Over the Moon and Little Miss Spider by David Kirk.
My current favorite, albeit for teenagers, is Finding Miracles, by Pat Mora. Its about a young girl who has been adopted from an unnamed Latin American country. It accurately shows her feelings about being adopted and searching her past.
I discovered today that I gave the wrong author for the book I recommended. Finding Miracles is by Julia Alvarez. My apologies.
