One Daughter has suddenly developed kidney and bladder problems along with the stuff I have. Other daughter is not so bad. She decided to have children and her son is now 17 months old and not walking or talking or crawling. His muscletone is and has been very poor. We almost lost him at birth and he was in the nicU for 3 weeks. Not downs syndrom but?? The genetic tests take 12 weeks each and they will not process more than one at a time. This could take years...and he will be more severely behind by then and will the muscle problems get worse??? Begging for any help please.

Hello...My name is Sandy and I am search angel...But, I read your post and wanted to comment...I have a son who is now 13 yrs old and he was not walking or crawling or talking until he was 2 years old...I took him from doctor to doctor and not one was able to diagnose him..I then took him to a genetic specialist and this doctor spent 5 minutes with my son and told me that he was almost positive that he has Williams Syndrome...It can only be tested by a blood test...Sure enough, this is what it was...The #7 chromosone is deleted...It took 30 days for this test..Williams Syndrome is very rare and is not easily diagnosed by alot of doctors, because it is so rare...You may want to ask about this..I thought my son had downs syndrome as well, but that was not it...And there are still alot of doctors out there that really don't know about Williams Syndrome, or what to look for...My son is the sweetest, most polite child and everyone loves him...I just had to comment about this, becuase my son was the exact same way....Sandy

You can petition the court to open your adoption records. In WA it was a one page form to fill out. Ask your doctor for a note to submit with the form to confirm it may help.
Kind regards,
Dickons

My name is Ed Ellington, and I am a Producer for an upcoming ABC documentary series about people searching for family members. Our show aims to shed light on the issues that arise when people decide to find their family members. We want to bring awareness to the difficulties both logistical and emotional - people encounter when trying to find loved ones and relatives. In particular, we want to hear from people who have a new urgency to their search for any reason ֖ a medical situation, an upcoming marriage, a new child in the family, etc.
While we are in the beginning phase of our research phase, I would like to know more about your search to see if perhaps we can work together to advance both of our causes. We are looking for people who are willing to share their story in an effort to guide and inspire others who are missing their relatives.
If you are interested in sharing your story, please call me at 424.214.4623, or contact Diane Hellmer at 424.214.4654 to discuss your story. If you feel more comfortable emailing at first, please feel free to do soJust let me know a little about your search, about your self, and about what fuels our desire to reunite with your loved one.
Thanks so much for your time, and generosity. I look forward to hearing from you,
Ed
