I'm an adopted person who is in doctoral program in counseling psyhcology at the University of Maryland. I've been doing research on adoptive familieis and am currently trying to learn more about how adoptive parents talk to their children about adoption. Would you be interested in participating in a study about talking to your children about adoption?
Participation requires confidentially completing a brief, one-time online survey on a secure website. Your participation will help researchers from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, better understand communication in adoptive families. The study is being conducted by Ms. Maria Wydra, M.A, a doctoral student at the university, and her advisor, Dr. Karen OBrien, Ph.D, and Dr. Matthew Miller, Ph.D., professors at the university. Dr. OҒBrien is an adoptive parent and Ms. Wydra was adopted.
If youre interested, just click on the link below to be taken to Survey Monkey, a secure website that hosts the survey. Once youҒre there youll be able to review a brief description of the survey, and read an informed consent form before you decide to participate. If you know any other adoptive parents who might be interested in taking the survey, please invite them to visit the link below and participate in the study too.
