Hiyas,
My name's Diane. I have just applied to an adoption agency and I'm a bit anxious. My husband and I have been married 18 years and we have a biological son who turned 10 yesterday :) We had a few miscarraiges before we had Josh and we concieved him with the help of fertility doctors. After an awful high risk pregnancy, thankfully, he was born healthy but I needed a hysterectomy afterwards. My kidneys were failing due to a childhood strep infection that had left them much weakened. 3 years ago I recieved a kidney transplant from my mom. We're now hoping to adopt an infant into our family! I'm really nervous about the home study...
Anyway, glad to meet yas!
Welcome Diane! A lot of us domestic parents are on the General Adoptive Parent Support forum. Try not to be too nervous about the HS, it really isn't that bad. :)

Don't worry, be honest. They know you are REAL people. They would be MORE worried if you tried to pretend your life is always perfection. Just be honest about your life & it will all be FINE! I didn't have a perfect childhood & neither did my parents. We don't have perfect relationships with each other or our families but its reality! Don't worry, you will be fine!
