Director of Development - part-time

Director of Development The Family Network, Inc. is a nonprofit adoption agency located in Capitola, California. TFN is dedicated to helping abandoned and/or orphaned children permanent, loving families, and offering education and support services to all families and children affected by adoption. Function of Position The Director of Development is responsible for networking, fundraising activities, grant writing, managing Hague accreditation tasks, and performing other development related duties as assigned. Education/Experience/Skills 1. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree 2. Experience in international adoption a plus. 3. Experience with nonprofit development and marketing is required. Duties 1. Develop new fundraising programs, including grant writing and community presence/awareness. 2. Development of new programs and management of interns. 3. Complete & maintain Hague & COA accreditation reports and assignments. 4. Maintain and develop TFN website content. 5. Stay current on emerging international adoption issues by attending conferences, webinars. 6. Maintain and develop new partnerships with adoption placing agencies, attorneys and facilitators. 7. Keep accurate database records. 8. Develop community relationships to increase TFN visibility in the TFN service area. 9. Spearhead web-marketing and advertising through Google and other internet-based marketing networks. 10. Promote TFNҒs services and programs to clients and prospective clients throughout California. 11. Network with social service and community resources in the local area. 14. Attend board meetings and staff meetings.
