For 40 years Ive yearned to look for my darling daughter but thought I would ruin her life by knocking on her door after all these years and announcing Hi, Im your birthmother. A very wise man, by the name of Ed, told me maybe my daughter felt the same way but was afraid to knock on my door after all these years and say Hi, Im your daughter. SO, Im taking the first step and pray it's not too late. I'm here with open arms..:flowergift: ..Waiting!

Dear Dolly,
As an Amom of an 8 and 9 year old I will just tell you this. My A children ask about and yearn for their Bmom on adaily basis. I don't know what the future will bring for them. I know from all the wonderful folks on these boards that the reunion path is frought with emotional ups and downs, but from reading posts for several years now from all members of the triad...I say go forward and search for your daughter. Take things slowly, trust in God and your own instincts, and bless you in your search.
Sincerely,
Saj

Hi Dolly,
I am a bmom who gave my daughter up for adoption in 1970, and had my daughter in California too. I was blessed to have an adoption angel (research angel) contact me. Within a day my angel had her name, parents name, brothers name, phone number, what high school her graduated from and best friendҒs name. What I found out is that in California you are given a number when you are born and when the adoption /name change takes place that number stays the same! I was so excited then I realized that I didnt know if she knew she was adopted. With more research (almost two years) I found out that she knew she was adopted and had looked for me 10 years ago. Long story short, I sent my first letter to my b daughter last week introducing myself. I have not heard from her but have hope.
So my suggestion is get an angel, if not get all her information from public records. You need her date of birth, county and/or city. I had given my daughter a name and recorded both her b-father and my name on the original birth certificate.
