i couldn't find it anywhere, but i pm'd the op, and she said they are a non profit, and she'd get theat on teh site, but in the meantime, is this something we can check? i seem to remember crick saying she had some way of checking.
Not sure, I will let Crick address that.
However, in their "About Us" statement they do say they are a 501c 3 non profit corporation.

I know on the old site they listed the 501 info and are a non profit. Just checked the new one and under "About us" it does say 501 and that donations are 100% tax deductible.
That's pretty much what I go by and I also check the site for their Mission Statement. Every non profit org. is required to have a mission statement describing their purpose.
Other things I check if I have any doubts or the site raises red flags for me.
1. IRS website has a listing of non profit organizations. It's not always complete/updated though.
2. GuideStar nonprofit reports and Forms 990 for donors, grantmakers and businesses also lists non p's and tells you the state it's registered in.
3. Just another little "cheat tip" is that a lot of non profits will have a website under .org and not .com. It's not a 100% definite, but it does help when combined with all the other factors.
